Burritos, 3rd Year and Vinyl

Back at uni! Have been for like a month or something. Already I'm out of money and food. I'll survive. Today I had a mad craving for a burrito. So I put a competition out on Twitter and Facebook saying that the first person to bring me a burrito would win a prize. I was actually going to give them a prize too. But nobody showed up. It's times like this that I wish I was famous. I saw a thing Phil Jupitis did on YouTube. It was almost the exact same principle. He was on a train and he got people to meet him at each stop with a pastie. He payed them, rather than offering a prize. I wish I just had the minimal amount of fame that Jupitis has. A regular spot on a BBC panel show. Then I'd be eating burrito right now.

So far uni is going okay. I've been to most things and most of it has actually been relevant. I have quite a few bands lined up for recording sessions. Well, three really, but that's cool. That counts as "quite a few" no? Also helping people out with Audio stuff and getting some extra portfolio stuff. It's all good!

We've been having fairly regular vinyl nights too. I do love vinyl night! If there were two things that I would say are on my mind more than anything at this exact moment it'd be Burritos and Vinyl. A good combination.

Might do another list of stuff soon. Looking forward to ATP in December along with my Niece's christening. Should be fun fun fun. Hopefully I'll get bored enough to post another blog soon.

Until then....

...farewell! *Swooshes cape and flies off into the night*

Sorry Mario, but our princess is in another castle...

FINALLY FINISHED MY SECOND YEAR OF UNI!

Pretty excited about that. Did well in my results too. Was pretty happy with that. So I'm back in Telford now, it's pretty cool to see everyone including my now very heavily pregnant sister! Looking forward to being an uncle/godfather. Should be a laugh. Also good to be spending lots of quality time with my ladyfriend.

I missed out doing a blog last month, but I'm pretty sure I did 2 in May so it works out. I'm going to try my hardest to remember to do one blog a month starting from...NOW! Oh! Also I've applied for a relevant job! Finally! I've not heard back from them just yet, but hopefully I'll be able to do it while still at uni, then I'll have work experience and money! HUZZAH!

Moving into a new house in August. Should be awesome. Living with my friends Ewan and Holly who are fun people! Nice house too. But I'll say more about that next month I imagine.

Okay, so, that's a Blog for July.

Tatty bye xx

Some Awesome Music Videos Part 1

Hard to make a Top 5 for this, so I just figured I'd post some of my favourite music videos. No ranking system, just think they're really good!

You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon
Surely everyone has seen this right? It's awesome. I love Chevy Chase. The song is brilliant on it's own then when you add this genius video it just gets better! The difference in size of Simon and Chase makes it for me I think. Their performance is so natural too, they could easily be a comedy duo that had worked together for years! Brilliant video.

Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim
Three words; Christopher. Walken. Dancing.

The Salmon Dance by The Chemical Brothers
Not sure what it is about this video specifically that I like. It just makes me laugh a lot and has a kind of feel
good quality. Great song too, although I feel that the song doesn't have the same effect without the video.

Can't embed it because of capitalism. Click here to see the video.

I'll post some more awesome videos soon!

Remember 'The Munsters'?

Hello people! Or person...not sure how many people actually read this thing...anyone there? guys? guys?

Anyway. I thought I'd go into some seriously awesome nostalgic TV shows. Not so much kid's TV, but things I used to watch as a kid/young teenager. The Munsters being a big one! As some of you will probably know, my awesome girlfriend bought me 'The Closed Casked Collection' of the Munsters (basically the whole 2 series on DVD) just after Christmas. I'm yet to get through the whole thing, but it has brought back awesome memories. Then the other day I got a Danger Mouse DVD from Morrisons for £1 with 9 episodes on it. Again, I had and awesome nostalgia trip. Then I remembered Charlie Chalk. Oh man, I freaking LOVED Charlie Chalk as a kid. It was so awesome. Anyway, I think that this is a good place to stick in a bit of a Rob Gordon style Top 5 list....

....presenting....

.....MY TOP 5 NOSTALGIC TV SHOWS THAT I OWN OR REALLY FUCKING WANT TO OWN ON DVD!!!!!

#5 Peter Pan & The Pirates

What an amazing show. I remember very little about the episodes themselves, but who can ever forget this fantastic theme tune!?

#4 Dinosaurs

C'mon! You all gotta remember Dinosaurs!? It was amazing. A family of Dinosaurs dealing with life in
an almost Flintstones-esque show. C'ept it was guys in suits! There was the old wise cracking baby, the Homer
style Dad...it had everything!

#3 The Raccoons

"This is the Evergreen Forest...." Those words still strike a chord with me to this day! I bloody loved the Raccoons! Has there ever been a villain so evil as Cyril Sneer? I doubt it. Plus those little pigs who wore just jumpers and hats, but the jumpers almost looked like little dresses....what was their game?

#2 The Munsters

Already gone on about it a bit, but it was just awesome. Better than the Aadams Family by a long shot. Just so funny. Ahead of it's time in many ways too. I still find it as funny today as I imagine people did back int he 1950s when it was originally aired. If you haven't seen The Munsters then sort it our as soon as possible. Avoid the newer films and the series "The Munsters Today" that was made in the 80s. Not so good. The films with the Original cast are pretty cool. My personal favourite episode is the one in Season 2 when Herman does a rodeo and Grandpa is supposed to be disguised as the horse but there's a bit of a mix up...with hilarious results!

#1 Charlie Chalk

What happens when a clown goes out in a rowing boat in order to fish and sleep, then gets marooned
on a desert island? The best kids TV show EVER! That's what!

So, there you go, that's my top 5 things I watched when I was a kid. Kinda gave away the top 2 right
at the beginning. Oh well. Hope you enjoyed it! Leave comments with your favourites too, there are
probably loads of awesome shows I missed!

Catch ya soon.

..Once again, it's been a while!

Hello!

Been a while since I updated this old thing. I'm gonna try to make it regular again. I have been super busy with having a job and the uni work is piling up! I'm just finishing off a version of "Life On Mars" for my Audio Production module and I have a live radio show that I am presenting on Friday 7th May at 2pm. It's gonna be on Siren 107.3fm in Lincoln or you can listen online here! I hope you will all be listening intently! Also there is a facebook page for it that you can join and if you write on the discussion board I'll probably read your post out on the show! That'd be well good, wouldn't it? Join the group here!

I also wrote and recorded a couple of songs that I put on my Myspace page. They're rough as hell and not to be taken too seriously, but check them out here if you like.

Anyways, I'll definitely be posting another blog before next week to remind whoever is reading to listen to my show!

Cheerio!

It's been a while since I did a proper post...

I've been surprisingly busy of late! Had a lot of Uni stuff on, which is good, had a job interview today that went really well, so if all goes to plan I should have a job by next week! Then once I have a job everything will be good. I'll have money, get a decent phone, be less bored, be able to justify outlandish purchases...the possibilities are endless!

The podcast is going well too, we've been going for 3 weeks now and we're getting a lot of positive feedback, so that's good! Kingsley is sorting us out a website slowly too: http://podcast.kingsleytudor.co.uk

You should look at that and download the podcast!

Nothing else new to report really...but I will start updating more regularly from now on.

Peace.

Podcast!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I know it's a bit late, but at least I said it.

So, I'm back in Lincoln. Had a pretty busy week doing assignments and such, got 'em all in on Wednesday and Thursday. Plus I may have sorted out a Job! So that's good!

Anyway, I'm just gonna use this blog now to shamelessly promote my new endeavour. Me and Kingsley have done a Podcast. The cleverly titled "Adam & Kingsley Podcast". You can download it here.

We're gonna make it a weekly fixture and have different people on each week. Also for proper updates
and stuff you can join the OFFICIAL facebook page! Just type in "The Adam & Kingsley Podcast" to the
search bar on facebook and it should come up.

That's pretty much al for now to be honest....DOWNLOAD THE PODCAST!

One love
xx
